Plyo Boxes

Plyometric training, or jump training, is popular with many different training methods and sports.
Plyo boxes come in a variety of styles, sizes, and materials to fit any facility or training style. Basic plyometric training has an athlete jump or step from the ground to the top of a raised surface, then back down to the ground.

Beginners and those in rehab programs can step up and down off a low box, increasing their speed and the height of the box as they progress. Experienced athletes and those in more intensive training can jump from the ground onto a more challenging high box, also increasing the box height as they improve. Smaller diameter boxes increase the difficulty, as the surface area is harder to hit consistently.

Plyo training has many benefits - improved muscular strength, jumping abilities, core strength, and explosive power will all improve with regular plyometric training. The diversity of available exercises you can do on a plyo box makes them a great addition to circuit training and small group training.
