The global Covid-19 pandemic has changed how we live – from working and educating our children at home, to limiting social contact with friends and family. We saw firsthand what a huge unexpected demand can do to a supply chainessential household items like cleaning products and paper supplies were impossible to find at the height of the quarantine. The unusual buying patterns didn’t just disrupt the grocery stores – the fitness equipment industry is also seeing a major shift in buying habits and product availability.

Let us break down the Next Normal for navigating the current fitness equipment shortages.

As we continue to slowly transition back into public places, many fitness enthusiasts have adapted their workspaces, exercise routines, and purchasing habits to support a social distancing at-home lifestyle. The demand for fitness equipment by consumers will hold steady and high- fueled by the increase in number of virtual fitness programs and the desire to expand exercise options by adding a variety of equipment.

Power Systems is aware of this shift in the market demand and we have been working diligently to ensure we have equipment available in quantities to support gym openings, new studio fitness programs, and facility renovations. We can do this together with communication. By starting conversations earlier in the planning process, we can reserve and order equipment for our commercial fitness customers that provide early access to inventory requests and forecasts.
