Plate changeovers are fast and seamless due to a head with retractable teeth (we call it the 'gator') at each end of the SMARTBAR that holds up to three weight plates in place. The plates simply slide on the bar and lock into place on the gator. When you need to change plates, you just pull the release lever and slide them off. SMARTBAR weight plates have ergonomic handles, making them more like dumbbells. Being easy to grip, people can handle heavier weights and fatigue their target muscles. The weight plate handles allow people to hold two plates in one hand, giving them more options.
